1 Thessolonians 5:18 “Give thanks not matter what happens. God wants you to thank him because you believe in Jesus Christ.”
REFLECT
An attitude of gratitude makes us unbreakable by allowing us to not be brought down by sinful acts such as envy.
Psalm 136:6 says, “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever.”
Here we have two reasons to be thankful: God’s constant goodness and His steadfast love. When we recognize the nature of our depravity and understand that, apart from God, there is only death, our natural response is to be grateful for the life He gives.
When you are grateful for the life you have been given and not worried about the material things you don’t have or the relationships you think you should have you are more at peace and feel more connected to God making you stronger. When you covet the things you do not have you tend to have less of a connection to God exposing a weakness that opens the door for the Devil to do his work.
Coming to Team Uppercut workout sessions will help you develop a closer relationship to your brothers in Christ which is something to be grateful for as these relationships reveal ways where we can help each other grow in our journeys and become stronger in our FAITH!
